The Chinese trademark office (SAIC) was eventually merged into Chinese patent office (SIPO)

Since late March 2018 China’s State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) will be taking over trademark duties which have been handled by the State Administration for Industry and Commerce (SAIC) for historical reason. Restructuring of the SIPO is aimed at strengthening and harmonizing the management and enforcement of patent and trademark rights, thereby improving efficiencies of the entirety of IP administration.
